Sunday February 26
3:00 PM St. Michael's Lutheran Church
In collaboration with the month long celebration of Bloominton
Love's Its Kids, sponsored by the City of Bloomington, the community
will be invited to this unique concert featuring music from around
the world sung by over 210 Angelica Singers (ages 7 - 18). Featuring
local puppet and mask maker, Tom Davis and the singers of Angelica
Cantanti telling the contemporary Mexican legend The
Adventures of Connie and Diego with music and masks. A processional
will be led by the spectacular 13 foot puppets, built by Tom Davis.
The masks used for the story of Connie and Diego will be worked
by Angelica Singers. Connie and Diego were different from the other
children in the village. The twins were born with many colors all
over their little bodies. Masks used to tell this story are a whale,
an eagle, a bear and a lion, plus some more simple hand held masks
for choir members.
