Angelica Cantanti Concert Choir performs at the Vermont International Choral Festival

BLOOMINGTON, MINN. – The Angelica Cantanti Concert Choir will make their first appearance at the 4th annual Vermont International Choral Festival,  June 14 – 17,  2007 at the Trapp Family Lodge Meadow in Stowe, Vermont.

The group will join seven other acclaimed choruses from across the United States on the beautiful Green Mountain hillside for a mass concert directed by the legendary choral conductor and arranger Robert De Cormier. The choirs will perform a diverse repertoire of pieces arranged by Mr. De Cormier, including such familiar works as Let Me Fly, Hold On and Bella Bimba.

The Angelica Cantanti Concert Choir is made up of Twin Cities students in grades 6 – 8 and is directed by nationally known composer and arranger Nancy Grundahl. They have performed at Carnegie Hall and in 1998 participated in the International Kathaumixw Choral Festival at Palo River, Canada.

Celebrating its 26th season, Angelica Cantanti Youth Choirs provide a complete premier musical experience for young choral musicians through quality musical instruction, artistic excellence in choral performance, development of teamwork, social and personal growth.
