MUSICAL THEATER & ART SONG

Fall 2020 online registration for singers in Grades 6 - 8

AGE

Singers entering Grades 6 - 8 in the fall of 2020. 

 

DATES

Saturdays, September 12 - Saturday, November 14, 2020 (10 weeks). 

 

TIME

10:15 am - 11:00 am  (45 minutes)

 

COST

$175.00

 

GOALS of this online class:

*Musical Theater - all participants will learn two musical theater songs together. Solo opportunities for those who want that experience. Introduction to the healthy use of the belting voice.


*Art Song - all participants will learn two art songs together. Solo opportunities for those who want that experience. Introduction to the healthy use of the head voice and chest voice. Introduction to Italian diction.

 

*NEW- Singers may register as a “participant” or “observer”. “Observers” are for those who may want to watch the solo singing, but not participate fully. 

TECHNOLOGY REQUIRED

1) Access to the internet 

2) Zoom online meeting platform

3) Laptop or tablet such as an iPad

4) Second device to play recordings (i.e. cell phone)

5) Music will be provided

 

DETAILS

Singers are expected to commit by attending all rehearsals each Saturday morning.

Singers should review and practice music on their own during the week.
