2021/2022 Season
 

Welcome to our 41st season! We are busy planning an exciting year of wonderful music, learning, making friends and new memories. Please see important information below about registering for our choir 2021/22 choral season. We ask for your patience as we are still working out details and making arrangements with Covid-19 guidelines changing.

 

WHAT WE KNOW:

• Registering your singer today will help us with our planning.

• Priority registration until June 20, 2021 for all returning ACYC members in 2019/20 and 2020/21 seasons.

• We are planning to rehearse IN PERSON with mandatory masks regardless of vaccination status.

• Space will be limited for all choirs.

• A $40 deposit is required, but is refundable until 3 weeks before rehearsals begin.

• Rehearsals for singers in Grades 2 - 12 will be once a week

• Rehearsal location will be at Creekside Community Center, 9801 Penn Ave S, Bloomington, MN 55431

• Check back to this page and our website often for updates throughout the summer.

• All is subject to change.

DAYS & TIMES:

• Grade 2 - 4 will rehearse on Mondays, starting Sept. 20, 75 minutes  (5:00pm - 6:15pm)

• Grade 4 - 6 will rehearse on Thursdays, starting Sept. 16, 90 minutes  (5:00pm - 6:30pm)

• Grade 6 - 8 will rehearse on Tuesdays, starting Sept. 21, 2 hours (4:30pm - 6:30pm)

• Grade 9 - 12 will rehearse on Sundays, starting Aug. 29 Time TBA. Each choir will meet for 2 hours

• Grade K - 1 music class will meet on Wednesdays, starting Sept. 29, 60 minutes (5:30pm - 6:30pm)

 

AUDITIONS:

• Grade K - 4 - New and returning ACYC members, no audition is necessary for the 2021/22 Season.

• Grade 5 - 12 - Returning ACYC members, no audition is necessary, however singers may submit a voice check recording in August. Please register today and we will contact you with these details later.

• Grade 5 - 12 - NEW singers to ACYC may need to submit an audition video recording. Please go ahead and register today and we will follow up with you about details.

COVID-19 STATEMENT

Due to COVID-19, ACYC program offerings and details are subject to change.

The safety of our singers, staff, and community is our top priority, and ACYC is following the CDC, MN Dept. of Health, state, county and city guidelines as recommendations are evolving. As of now, we are planning to meet in-person; however, sessions may be modified to accommodate safety precautions. Age-appropriate protocols will include online pre-arrival health screenings, signed parent and singer waivers, mandatory masks, physical distancing, and limited enrollment.
