2021/2022 Season
Priority registration for returning ACYC singers until June 20

Welcome to our 41st season! We are busy planning an exciting year of wonderful music, learning, making friends and new memories. Please see important information below about registering for our choir season starting in September, 2021. We ask for your patience as we are still working out details and making arrangements with Covid-19 guidelines changing.

 

WHAT WE KNOW:

• Registering your singer today will help us with our planning.

• Priority registration until June 20, 2021 for all returning ACYC members in 2019/20 and 2020/21 seasons.

• We are planning to rehearse IN PERSON with mandatory masks.  ACYC will provide each member with a professional mask designed especially for singers.

• Space will be limited for all choirs.

• A $40 deposit is required, but is fully refundable until 3 weeks before rehearsals begin.

• Rehearsals will be once a week, starting in September, 2021 - May, 2022.

• Location will be in Bloomington.

• Check back to this page and our website often for updates throughout the summer.

• All is subject to change.

TENTATIVE:

• Grade 2 - 4 will rehearse on Mondays, starting Sept. 20 (NEW)

• Grade 4 - 6 will rehearse on Thursdays, starting Sept. 16 (NEW) 5:00pm - 6:30pm

• Grade 6 - 8 will rehearse on Tuesdays, starting Sept. 21 4:30pm - 6:30pm (7/7 We have started a waiting list. Please sign up so we can continue to gauge the interest. Thank you.)

• Grade 9 - 12 will rehearse on Sundays, starting Aug. 29

• Grade K - 1 music class will meet on Wednesdays, starting Sept. 29 (5:15pm - 6:15pm)

 

AUDITIONS:

• Grade K - 4 - New and returning ACYC members, no audition is necessary for the 2021/22 Season.

• Grade 5 - 12 - Returning ACYC members, no audition is necessary, however singers will may a voice check recording in August. Please register today and we will contact you with these details later.

• Grade 5 - 12 - New singers to ACYC will need to submit an audition video recording. Please go ahead and register today and we will follow up with you about the audition details.

REGISTRATION QUESTIONS:

• Will my 4th grader rehearse on Monday or Thursday?

NEW 4th graders to ACYC will rehearse on Mondays. Returning 4th grade singers will rehearse on Thursdays.
 

• Will my 6th grader rehearse on Tuesday or Thursday?

NEW 6th graders to ACYC will rehearse on Thursdays. Returning 6th grade singers will rehearse on Tuesdays.

WHAT WE DON'T KNOW YET:

 

• Location for rehearsals. We will be meeting in Bloomington.

• All calendar dates including performances. We are working on this. Please check website often for updates.

• Tuition. We hope to know this soon.
   

COVID-19 STATEMENT

Due to COVID-19, ACYC program offerings and details are subject to change.

The safety of our singers, staff, and community is our top priority, and ACYC is following the CDC, MN Dept. of Health, state, county and city guidelines as recommendations are evolving. As of now, we are planning to meet in-person; however, sessions may be modified to accommodate safety precautions. Age-appropriate protocols will include online pre-arrival health screenings, signed parent and singer waivers, mandatory masks, physical distancing, and limited enrollment.
