Director:

Bryan Blessing has taught vocal music at Oak Grove Middle School in Bloomington since 2004, where he directs the school's choir program and teaches general music. He also directs the Oak Grove Singers and co-directs the Husky Harmony Show Choir and the school's Speech Team. Bryan earned a Bachelor of Arts in Music Education from Saint John's University and a Master of Arts in Music Education from the University of St. Thomas. In 2020, he achieved National Board Certification in Music.

An active performer, Bryan is a founding member and baritone with The Singers – Minnesota Choral Artists, a 40-voice professional choral ensemble based in St. Paul. In addition to performing, he serves the organization as Music Advisor and Choir Manager. Bryan is also an accomplished composer, guitarist, and educator. He has taught classical guitar at Crown College and remains active in the choral community through his leadership roles. He serves on the advisory board for the American Composers Forum's ChoralQuest series and is Chair of the Commissioning Task Force for the Minnesota chapter of the American Choral Directors Association (ACDA-MN).

 

About CAMBIATA:

The Cambiata Ensemble is for alto, tenor and bass singers in grades 7 - 12 with unchanged, changing, and changed voices with a focus on musicianship and healthy vocal production.

Members will gain confidence in their singing, continue to develop sight reading skills and form friendships in this weekly informal one hour rehearsal together. The repertoire will include a variety of styles.
